Rishav Kumar

I completed my Integrated Master's in Biology with a minor in Environmental Sciences from IISER Mohali, India. My Master's thesis focused on optimizing trace metal concentrations to enhance microbial CO₂ utilization, which sparked my deep interest in the intersection of microbiology and electrochemical systems. I am particularly drawn to electrofermentation and bioreactor engineering due to their potential for sustainable and scalable bioproduction. What excites me most is the interdisciplinary nature of this project—combining microbial metabolism, electrochemistry, and process engineering to optimize electrofermentation processes for different sugars and the opportunity to work in collaboration with Solar Foods for technoeconomic assessment.
