Engineering redox reactions and reactors

WP3 focuses on designing and testing microbial electrochemical reactors to identify optimal configurations for different MET processes. It evaluates planar type reactors, electrified biofilters, and CSTRs at the liter scale, benchmarking their performance and identifying current limitations. The work also includes developing advanced modelling tools that combine microbial thermodynamics and fluid dynamics to guide the design of high performance MET reactors,
